Our little company has been "on hold" for a while. Due to many family issues; Bill's heart, Billy's new hip and adjustments within and without, I just had to take a break from a.j.jacks to concentrate on others. Things are settling down and Bill's heart health seems to be taking a turn for the better, for which we are most thankful! His new meds are helping him to feel better than he has in quite some time.

Other than some sales at The Klumsy Moose over the summer, showcasing a very limited selection in Cary NC at Paddywhacks, and selling several Family Reunion dresses at a shop in Florida, I have been concentrating on sewing for some of our granddaughters and loving it. Of course, every time I make something for them, I add it to the list of articles to be made for future sales.

I am once again picking up pace and moving forward. I will be writing soon to announce where we are going from here. But suffice to say, for now, I am considering a direction that we have not pursued in the past and I am pretty excited about it.

Until then . . .

Take care and God Bless You!

Exciting News!!! a.j.jacks is now offering our children's clothing lines exclusively through The Klumsy Moose in Chesapeake, Virginia. If you are in the area, please stop in and check out this lovely children's boutique. I love this shop! And not just because they have welcomed us so warmly but for so many reasons. The folks there are super nice, well-informed, and really up on the latest and greatest in kids' fashions. AND they host amazing children's parties right there in a special room of the store. Way Cool!!!!! Cannot wait to have a spa party, or maybe a dance party, or maybe a princess party, or, I'm getting way ahead of myself here. I will have to let my granddauthers decide what kind of party to have, I guess! Can you tell I am super excited about The Klumsy Moose. Check it out on Facebook or in person, I know you will be too!!

Back to School

We were busy all summer long creating garments for our biggest show of the year, the Yellow Daisy. It was an experience to say the least. We loved the people and dinners with the Havens. We introduced some new items at this show: Ice Cream Blouse, Ice Cream Dress, Tea Party Sundress, and the Playsuit. Some patterns we have used before and some are new. Oliver & S puts new patterns out each fall and winter so you can imagine the fun we have dreaming up new pattern/fabric choices. Here are a few photos from our photo shoot with Maegan. We used many of them for advertising at our show. The girls loved seeing their faces in big banners. They were celebs!

Ice Cream Dress and Swingset Tunic/Puppet Show Shorts

Kirsten (the "k" in a.j. jacks) loves all of her clothes made especially for her from Gramma. She loves the attention she gets when she is wearing them and will tell anyone who asks that her Gramma made them for her. Now, whenever she gets something new she will ask who made if for her. Or, if it is a gift from someone, she automatically assumes they have made it too. Here are just a few shots of her playing in the backyard and at the park, with her brother Aidan, wearing some of her favorite a.j. jacks outfits........

Playdate and Ties

Last week we had a fabulous time in Florida! The kids got so much attention and had tons of fun with thier cousins. These are the dresses the girls wore for Easter and the ties the boys wore. They looked so cute and received many compliments. I love the colors and with those shoes, who could resist?

The girls and I at our favorite store. And below we have "baby Jack" with one of his many silly faces.
